Canada workers compensation calculators: Ontario and BC

Choose Ontario WSIB or WorkSafeBC. Estimate weekly wage-loss benefits from board-defined net earnings, then verify the earnings limit and your claim decision.

Canada does not have one national workers compensation formula. Ontario WSIB normally replaces 85% of net earnings loss; WorkSafeBC normally replaces 90%. Use the relevant provincial tool and board-assessed net earnings, rather than a gross-pay input. Alberta, Quebec and other jurisdictions require separate rules and are not calculated here.

Choose the applicable scheme and benefit type. These tools calculate selected statutory benefits, not a settlement, and do not determine coverage or legal entitlement.

Canada workers compensation questions

Is there one Canada workers compensation formula?
No. Each province and territory has its own board, legislation, earnings definition, and benefit process. Use a country page to organize facts, then switch to the correct board.
What earnings should I enter?
Use the earnings definition published by the board handling the claim. Some programs use net average earnings or a board-specific look-back period rather than a simple gross weekly wage.
Which Canadian board applies?
Use the province or territory connected to the employment and claim. Ontario WSIB, WorkSafeBC, and WCB Alberta are separate systems with different rules.
Does this predict a Canadian settlement?
No. These tools estimate selected wage-loss formulas. Permanent disability, medical coverage and any final resolution are separate board processes.
Are all regions and benefit types supported?
No. The linked tools cover the named schemes and benefits only. Other regions, death benefits, common-law claims and special categories need separate official rules.
